Nuevos cambios en el GSM


The Immigration Department has made recent changes to the visa program for General Skilled Migration (General Scheme Migration (GSM)). Some changes have come into effect from year 2009. The changes are:

Changes to evaluate the qualifications of foreign applicants for admission to certain commercial pursuits.


From May 15, 2009 applicants overseas GSM Program wishing to be assessed for access to an occupation of the SOL list can do so through the authority of a country participating in the Consortium VETASSES , which includes the following countries (Philippines, India, UK, Sri Lanka and South Africa) or continue routinely making the request to Australian Recognition Authority Occupation (TRA). Refund in cases of excessive payments by the application of visa


The Immigration Department of Australia is contacting all candidates for a GSM visa program that has made a payment higher than Migration regulates processing of the application, to reimburse the difference. Letters

have been sent to all persons affected by this situation where they are informed of the steps you need to do to be reimbursed. The customer must make their application for reimbursement to the same address specified in the letter you received.
